'Our Futures, Deadly Way'

'Our Futures, Deadly Way’ brings together the expertise of the three partner organisations: YouthWorX NT, Council for Aboriginal Alcohol Program Services (CAAPS) and BCA National Training Group, to provide a holistic, scaffolded approach to employment and career goal and pathway planning and foundation skills training for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in residential rehabilitation in Darwin.

The overall aim of the project is to provide each young person with the opportunity to learn skills which will help them to gain sustainable long term employment, resulting in improved life outcomes.
The project will value-add to the existing holistic health and well-being models of intervention offered by CAAPS through:
Skills audits, career goal exploration and individualised pathway development, work exposure facilitation via YouthWorX NT expertise
Accredited training in foundation skills via BCA expertise.

All aspects of delivery are supported by methods and models relevant to the cross cultural and disadvantaged/disengaged context.

`Our Futures, Deadly Way' is funded by the Department of Business. The NT Equity Training Grants program is an initiative of the Northern Territory Government.
