WHAT IS THE
COMMUNITY INVESTMENT COMMITTEE?
The Community Investment Committee (CIC) is a local collaborative group bringing together key stakeholders to create and strengthen pathways that intentionally support young people into meaningful jobs, now and into the future.
The CIC works in partnership with the local community and aims to harness community investment and expertise, adding value and strengthening existing efforts through a more coordinated and intentional focus to youth employment across the NT.

CIC In Focus
KEY OUTCOMES
The CIC brings together the representatives from the key sectors in youth employment pathways, including: employers and industry, education and training, employment service providers, local councils and community organisations to collaborate with each other and State and Federal Governments.
Alongside YouthWorX NT, members of the CIC actively contribute to:
- Align investments and employment pathways for young people within their community
- Drive solutions based on community priorities based on a NT specific Youth Employment Action Plan
- Create and strengthen local strategies and solutions that have national reach
How It Works
The CIC forms a crucial local structure of the National Youth Employment Body (NYEB), which aims to align local and national investments in employment, industry, education and training, to inform and strengthen a coordinated, multi-sectoral response to youth unemployment.
Members come together to actively contribute to drive change through:
- Sharing their knowledge and information on the local labour market, Identify opportunities and barriers specific to young people and Understand how to harness key systemic opportunities and address gaps.
