WHAT IS CAREER LAUNCHPAD?

Career Launchpad is a program that supports talented young people to transition from school into the world of work. It is a specialised program for young people with a disability who are not eligible for an NDIS Plan.
 
Career Launchpad offers personalised coaching, accredited life skills training, skills development and access to real-world opportunities that build confidence, independence and work-readiness.

How it Works

What to Expect

Your very own Youth Development Coach will work with you weekly to develop a plan centred on your goals and needs, while you also get to join small group sessions.

The program will be delivered over four phases:

In Career Launchpad we’ll help you plan your goals, build confidence, and develop your skills. YouthWorX NT is more than just a government-funded service provider – we’re genuinely invested in your success. As a Career Launchpad participant, you can expect to gain the following:

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the answers to questions we are often asked. If you can't find the right answer here, please don't hesitate to call or email.

Career Launchpad is fully funded by the Department of Social Services, so there is no cost to you.

There is no set age bracket. You just need to be a recent school leaver who has finished at least year 10. 

The program is available to school leavers from years 10 to 12 who have a diagnosed disability, but are not eligible for NDIS.

The program generally runs for 9-12 months, depending on the start date. It finishes in September of each year.

Once you have the finished the program you will receive a Certificate I in Developing Independence.

The program is designed for people who need help getting ready for work but don’t qualify for NDIS or don’t have an NDIS plan. We will be able to assist you to explore your options.
