Adina Vibe in Darwin is using Transition to Work service to hire young staff members. Indigenous Liaison Officer Barbara Baugh partners with Transitions to Work provider YouthWorx to find the staff they are looking.
“What appeals most to me about their service is their great team – they really take the time and getting to know who you are, what your business needs are, who you’re looking for,” says Barbara.
When Barbara received a call about Transition to Work participant Caramon she was eager to interview him.
For Caramon, Transition to Work helped him open up and become more confident in himself.
He applied for the job and was successful in becoming a maintenance handyman at Adina Vibe.
“Over the time I’ve worked here I think I’ve enjoyed being more hands-on and physical so yeah it’s broadened my opportunities and interest,” says Caramon. T
