Dallas’ Story

Purple pathway representing NDIS job opportunities

Dallas was actively engaging with our Transition to Work service from the very beginning; positively and proactively volunteering at Food Bank, attending YouthWorX NT’s Cultivating Change workshops, and actively participating in all coaching sessions since July 2020.

When not at the YouthWorx NT office, Dallas been accessing the computers at the public library; writing resumes, practicing theory for his learner’s test and organising other necessary tasks to become job ready.

Dallas’ career goal is to become a Horticulturalist and commenced a Certificate II in Horticulture with Charles Darwin University in 2021.

To support his journey, YouthWorx NT was able to secure Dallas with a laptop to assist his studies. This also gave Dallas the opportunity to study for (and pass!) his learners drivers licence from home.
